It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alma (O'Brien) Roche, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Known as "Sis," and "Nina," to all who held a special place in her heart, she gained her angel wings on March 20, 2025 at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving family.
Alma was born in Boston on December 5, 1937 to the late Paul and Alma (Majors) O'Brien. She lived a full and beautiful life, marked by her unwavering love for her family, friends, and community. Her warm smile, kind heart, and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Alma was the dear and devoted wife of David Roche for over 64 years. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and valued, and her wisdom and presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends.
Throughout her life, Alma was an avid gardener, world traveler, and devoted parishioner of the catholic church. Her dedication to family, charity, and work was a source of inspiration. Alma dedicated 40+ years to Dynisco as a purchasing supervisor in electronics.
She is survived by her husband, David Roche Sr. of Sharon, her children, Louise Burke of Sharon, David Roche Jr and his wife Lauri of Easton, and Brian Roche of Sharon, her grandchildren Ranae Berndt and her husband Brandon, Nicholas Burke, Lauriann Roche and her significant other Jon, Lauren Burke and her significant other Min, David Roche III, David Burke, and her great-grandchildren Brandon Jr and Audrey, along with many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Paul and Jack O'Brien, Louise O'Brien, Noreen and John Cahill, Dorothy Peterson, and Kathleen O'Brien.
Alma's Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Alma's memory be made to a charity of your choice.
Alma will be laid to rest at Blue Hill cemetery in Braintree and will be forever remembered for her love, strength, and lasting impact she had on everyone she met. May she rest in peace.
