Andrew Joseph Yelapi Jr.

YELAPI, ANDREW Joseph of Norwood passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Marie A. (Thomas) Yelapi. Devoted father of Joanne Morrison, Jeanne McInnis, and Michael Yelapi of FL, and the late Paul Yelapi and Patricia Yelapi. Son of the late Andrew & Giovanna (Bretti) Ielapi. Loving Brother of Elizabeth, Joseph Yelapi, Robert Ielapi, Mary Ann Grandinetti of NJ, Frances Webster, Joan Haley, and the late Joseph Yelapi, Anthony Yelapi, John F. Yelapi, Rose Patton and Barbara Miller. Cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Devoted and loving Uncle, Great Uncle and Great, Great Uncle of many nieces and nephews, who all adored him. Andrew was a Korean War US Navy veteran serving from 1951-1954 on the USS Wisconsin. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 11am at Highland Cemetery 320 Winter St. Norwood, MA 02062. Andy would have wanted everyone to dress casually, and jeans are just fine.
