Anne "Nancy" C. (Mckinnon) Reardon

REARDON, ANNE Catherine (McKinnon) "Nancy" was born on New Years Day 1934. She was raised in Norwood, MA as one of four daughters of the late William C. and Catherine (Costello) McKinnon of Sidney Mines, Nova Scotia and Galway, Ireland. A graduate of Norwood High School in 1951 and Burdett College, Nancy worked for Sylvania Electric providing her the opportunity to travel to Europe in 1960 and embark on a cross country trip where she worked for them in Palo Alto, California. Upon her return to Norwood she bumped into John E. Reardon, a former altar boy at Saint Catherine of Siena Church whom she had noticed as a young girl at St Catherine's School where they both attended. They were married a year later on November 21, 1964 at St Catherine of Siena Church. John and Nancy raised their two children Carol and John in Walpole, MA and provided many memorable family summers on Cape Cod in West Dennis, MA.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years John E. Reardon, her two sisters Florence Desmarais and Joan Haynes and a nephew Paul Desmarais.
Loving Mother of Carol Hawk and her husband Jud of Basalt, CO; Commander John Reardon, USCG (Ret.) and his wife Suzanne of Chester, MD. Devoted and beloved grandmother to her 4 grandchildren Caitlin Anne Hawk, Jake Hawk, Jack Reardon and Brendan Reardon.
Nancy will fondly be remembered by her sister Maureen Bradway and her husband Brad of Norwood, MA; brother-in-law Allan Haynes of Walpole MA; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and a few great grands; her friend & caregiver Lisa Marquis and her team of caregivers at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale, CO.
A private memorial for family will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Norwood, MA with her husband and near her parents.
