Anthony G. Grasso

GRASSO, Anthony G. of Norwood, MA. passed away on August 13, 2023 at the age of 98. Beloved husband of the late Sarah (Boulis) Grasso. Devoted father of Karen Bruce and her husband Michael Carty of Bluffton SC, Linda Mooney and her husband Bill of Longmeadow MA. and Donna Dunn and her husband Tim of Mattapoisett, MA. Son of the late Anthony Grasso and Michelina (Rainoni) Grasso. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Mooney, Christine Stallato, and her husband Anthony, Bill Mooney Jr and his wife Liegha, Chuck Bruce and his husband Frankie, Rachael Dunn and Tim Dunn Jr. Great grandchildren, Rocco, Jaxson, and Olive. His sister Mary Ricci of Boynton Beach FL. And the late Leo Grasso, Fred Grasso and Joe Grasso. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and his devoted caregivers.
Anthony was born and raised in Needham MA. and at the young age of 17 he was drafted and served in the 112th regiment, 28th infantry division during WWII in the Hurtgeon Forrest, Germany. He enjoyed, travelling, golfing and was an avid New England sports fan. He was also an active member at Saint George Orthodox Church in Norwood, MA.
Visiting hours will be Thursday August, 17th 4-8 PM at Saint George Orthodox Church, 6 Atwood Ave, Norwood, MA. Funeral mass at 11 AM on Friday August 18th. Burial at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
