Anthony P. "Tony-Snuffy" Mastandrea

MASTANDREA, ANTHONY "Tony-Snuffy" of Norwood passed away peacefully at his home on January 30, 2022 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 71 years to Elizabeth "Betty" (Butts) Mastandrea. Devote father of Anthony Jr. and Diane of Norwood, Karen Miranda of Easton and the late Joanne Hetherington of Boston. He was the son of the late Joseph and Jennie (LaConte) Mastandrea of Dedham. Tony was brother of the late Nicholas and Mary Seibert of Brookline, Domenic and Lucy Seibert of Hyde Park, Lawrence and Eleanor Sebet of Readville, Martin and Brenda Mastandrea of FL and Joseph and Clare Mastandrea of FL. Cherished grandfather of Andrea, Rachel, Paul, Melissa and Michelle. Great grandfather of Lenny, Isabela and Robbie. Tony was Directing Business Representative of the International Assoc. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local Lodge #264. He was a Silver Hair Legislator, Norwood Designee to the MBTA Advisory Board and Past President of the Sons of Italy, Lodge #1235 in Norwood. Tony was also a member of the Norwood Retired Men's Club, the Regional Employment Board, the MA Senior Action Committee and the Alliance for the Retired Americans. He was an Executive Board member of the Machinist Union Retiree's Council, Norwood Town Meeting member and a life member of the Norwood Democratic Town Committee. As a Norwood resident for 67 years Tony was Past President and Member of the Norwood Council on Aging and a 50 plus year member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge #252 in Norwood. He was CCD Teacher, Eucharistic Minister and Usher at St. Timothy Parish in Norwood. Tony loved Irish Music and Belonged to the Norwood Irish Music Club. As an avid golfer Tony was a member of the Walpole Country Club for 45 years. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Wednesday February 2, 2022 at 9:00am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Timothy Parish, Norwood. Visiting hour will be from 9am-10am on Wednesday. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Guide Dogs of America 13445 Glenoaks Blvd. Sylmar, CA 91342.
