Barbara (Javurek) Burke, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away on August 7, 2022. She was 80 years old.
Born in Queens, New York on June 13, 1942, Barbara and her loving husband Myles moved to Norwood in the late 60's. She worked for many years in local retail stores here in town, both Klein's and Decelle's, and loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Barbara was the dear and devoted wife of Myles F. Burke of 58 years. Loving mother of David Burke and his wife Regina of Norwood and Terence of Allston. Cherished grandmother, "Baba," of Chloe, Kevin and Brian Burke. Loving daughter of the late Joseph Javurek and Antonia (Herel). Dear sister of Stephanie Mehlrose of NC, Herel Javurek of FL, and the late Camille Hlavac, Richard Javurek and Charles Javurek. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Barbara's Funeral Services will be private.
