Barbara M. (Carchedi) Clinton

October 8, 1931 — April 21, 2020

Barbara M Clinton (Carchedi), Age 88, passed into eternal life on April 21st, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. A longtime resident of Norwood, Barbara was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Cirillo) Carchedi. Beloved wife of John R Clinton, married for 66 years. Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Russell Clinton and his wife Neide of Dennis, Joseph Clinton and his late wife Ann of Norwood, David Clinton and his wife Joyce of Wrentham. She was the proud grandmother of Megan Schneider and her husband Colby of Brentwood NH, Keriann Clinton McDonough and her wife Brianne of Waltham, Jenna Clinton and her fiancé Jonathan Buote of Plymouth and Jared Clinton of Wrentham. She was the sister of the late Kay Coughlin and the late Carmela Sawyer and sister to Joanne Nelson, Joseph Carchedi, Ralph Carchedi, Lorraine Coyne, Mary Jane Bruce. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several cousins.

Barbara was born in Watertown, MA on October 8th 1931. She graduated from Norwood High School, class of 1949 and later studied nursing at Massasoit College. Barbara raised her family in Norwood and worked at Polaroid before retiring after 22 years. She was a devoted Catholic and Eucharistic Minister at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Norwood. Barbara loved the ocean and had wonderful memories of family trips to the Cape and Nantasket. She loved fashion and style which was shown in the clothes she wore and the cars she drove. Barbara loved dressing up her three boys when they were young and taking them on trips into Boston. She also had a great passion for animals and cared for many dogs over the years. She loved her dogs and her grand dogs. She will be remembered by her love for her family and the fond memories that have filled our hearts.

Due to the current health crisis, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Barbara's life at a time to be announced in the future at Saint Catherine of Siena Parish in Norwood, MA.
