Bernard J. Coffey Jr., 67, passed away on August 19, 2026.

Born to the late Bernard Coffey Sr. & Marilyn (Moore) Coffey on February 27, 1959, he grew up in Boston before moving to Norwood as a teen. Though many knew him for his painting career, he was also a musician and had gotten back into playing his bass guitar in recent years. He loved all kinds of games and was often found with a word puzzle book or calling out answers to Jeopardy.

Bernie was quick-witted, outgoing, and always there for a laugh. He had a great sense of humor and made many friends throughout his life. He will be remembered for his laughter, his personality, and the good times shared with those who knew him.

Bernie is survived by his daughters, Lauren, Lana, and Emmy Coffey, and his former wife, Meg Ryding Coffey.

Visiting hours will be held at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood on Tuesday, September 1, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to come together to remember Bernie and celebrate his life.
