Betty (Reardon) Yadlovski was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 2, 1924, to Timothy and Mary Ellen Reardon. The youngest of 12 children, Betty graduated from St. Catherine's grammar school in Norwood, MA and attended high schools in Walpole and Dedham. She was an enthusiastic member of St. Catherine's Fife and Drum Corps. She graduated from The School of Nursing of Carney Hospital, where she joined the US Cadet Nurse Corps. She subsequently became a licensed RN. Betty had a passion for nursing, especially working with newborn babies in the hospital. She moved to New York City in 1947 where she worked at Lenox Hill Hospital. Betty married Steve Yadlovski in 1950 and moved to New Jersey to raise their family. She continued to work as a nurse in New Jersey: in a hospital nursery, Public Health, the Head Start Program and eventually as a school nurse. During this time Betty earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts degrees from Jersey City State College. Betty was always interested in healthy eating and exercise, keeping up with the latest health trends in the medical field. She retired as a school nurse from Winfield Park School in the 1980's and moved back to Norwood, Massachusetts with her husband, Steve, where they lived until his passing in 2015. Betty loved spending time with family and friends, hosting and making holidays and gatherings special. She always made her guests feel welcome with her gift of gab; her door was always open. She had a passion for travel, both nationally and internationally. Betty and Steve visited numerous countries on sightseeing trips in the 1980's, her favorite place being Ireland. Later in life, Betty was an active member of the Norwood Senior Center where she enthusiastically attended exercise classes.
In 2016 Betty moved back to New Jersey to be near most of her family and resided at Brookdale Assisted Living in Florham Park and then West Orange where she passed away on May 31, 2022.
