Beverly M. (Baxter) Walsh

WALSH, BEVERLY M. (Baxter) of Norwood formerly of Walpole passed away on November 18, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late John F. Walsh. Devoted mother of Carolyn Walsh and her husband Craig Caldwell of North Providence, RI, Elizabeth Walsh and her husband Jeffrey Kern of Norton and Susan Walsh Keogh and her husband Edward Keogh of Norwood. Sister of Jean Kunelius of Merrimack, NH and the late James, Lawrence, and John Baxter. Daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Connolly) Baxter. Cherished grandmother of Amelia Andrade and her husband Michael, Andrew Walsh Kern, Aodhan Keogh and Ryan Keogh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Beverly grew up in Walpole where she graduated from high school in 1952. She was a Ma Bell Telephone operator, a homemaker, a hostess and finally a longtime teller for the Norwood Co-Operative Bank until her retirement.

A voracious reader, she had a preference for murder mysteries, detective stories and spy thrillers. She enjoyed word search games, Crescent Ridge ice cream and playing the slot machines at Foxwoods. She was known to indulge in the occasional espresso martini or margarita and for sharing her candy and treats with her grandchildren. Beverly was a longtime volunteer at the Norwood Hospital and an election poll worker. She will be missed by her circle of dear friends and loving family. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11am. Burial will be private at a later date.
