Catherin "Cathy" Dimaria

October 19, 1969 — March 9, 2025

Catherin “Cathy” DiMaria, 55, of Apopka, Florida passed away on March 9. Born on Oct. 19, 1969 in Derry, NH, Cathy was the daughter of Joseph DiMaria and the late Maureen (Shershin) of Norwood.

Cathy graduated from the Henry O. Peabody School in Norwood, MA where she studied culinary arts. She went on to work as a dietary aide before retiring to spend time with her family.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband Saul Lewis of Orlando, Florida; daughter Brandy; beloved grandchildren, Julian, Lilianna, E'Lanni, and Charley.

Cathy adored her grandchildren and loved spending quality time with them. She is also survived by her siblings, Christine (Kenny) Holton of Apopka, Victoria DiMaria of Stoughton, and Joe DiMaria of Bridgewater, MA; nephew Robin Theisen of Braintree; and stepmother Marcia DiMaria of Norwood.

Cathy was known for her love and devotion to family, her generous spirit, and unforgettable laugh. She was a lifelong fan of rock music (the louder the better) and devoted supporter of the Boston Celtics. An excellent cook, she often showed care through food and shared meals with friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Cathy’s faith was important to her and she was an active member of Fountain of Life Baptist Church in Apopka, FL.

Cathy lived life on her own terms and without regret. She would encourage all who knew her to do the same in her memory.

Arrangements by the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home, Norwood, MA. A funeral service was held on March 15, 2025 at Fountain of Life Baptist Church in Apopka, FL; private interment will be held at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
