Catherine "Katie" Mary Bretti

Catherine “Katie” Mary Bretti, of Norwood, passed away Friday evening, October 4, 2024, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, she was 45.

Katie is survived by her loving parents, Deborah A. (Cunningham) Bretti of Norwood and Anthony J. Bretti of Norwood, her beloved children Ava Catherine Joyce of Plymouth and Declan Coleman Joyce of Norwood, her sister Regina M. Bretti of Norton, her brothers Thomas C. and Matthew J. Bretti both of Norwood and her maternal grandmother Mary Ann Cunningham. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and extended family.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Thomas and Catherine Bretti and her maternal grandfather Edward Cunningham.

Born, raised and educated in Norwood, she was a graduate of Norwood High School.

She was a much-loved server at the Brookside Restaurant in Norwood for many years. She loved to watch all the cooking channels while not being in the restaurant.

Katie would be found at her children’s sporting and school events as much as she was able, with a special fondness to attending her son’s hockey games.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Katie’s life at 11AM on Friday, October 11th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Washington Street, Norwood. Visitation will be held at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood Thursday from 4-8PM. Interment will be held at the Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
