Claire J. (Buckley) O'Neil

O’NEIL, CLAIRE J. (Buckley) formerly of Mission Hill, Roslindale and Norwood passed away surrounded by her family on November 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Donald P. O’Neil. Devoted mother of Neil O’Neil and his wife Ella of MD, Donna M. Adame and her husband Billy of Middleboro, Gerrie Mahoney and her husband Kevin of Middleboro and Peggie O’Neil-Mirabile and her husband Tom of Middleboro. Sister of Maureen Sutherland of Rockland and many other late siblings. Cherished grandmother of Nicole, Jessica, Katelyn, Miguel and his wife Kellie, Stephanie, Kayla, Amanda, Cassie and Collin. Great grandmother of Brayden, Maleah, JJ, Dante and Hunter. Aunt of her special niece Linda Carey and many other nieces and nephews. Daughter of the Late Francis and Elizabeth (Manning) Buckley. Claire's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her biggest joy. She enjoyed hosting her famous open house on Christmas Eve for all to come. Her many years living in Roslindale she was always volunteering for one thing or another and had so much fun with her "Friday night Girls". Claire was also a big part of the Woods Lake Community, always there with a helping hand. In her later years Claire enjoyed making new memories and wonderful friends at the Norwood Senior Center and where she lived in Norwood housing. Claire's passing will leave a huge void in many people’s lives. Hopefully all our wonderful memories and knowing she is reunited with our father Donny, the love of her life will sustain us through this difficult time. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2-5pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. Funeral from the Funeral Home Monday, November 25, 2024 at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, Westwood, MA. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Norwood Senior Center 275 Prospect St. Norwood, MA 02062.
