HOLLAND, DAVID Robert of Falmouth, MA and Venice, Florida formerly of Norwood, Ma passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Terry (Alighieri) Holland. Devoted father of Laura Liddy, her husband James of Sarasota, FL, Heidi Pasquale, her husband Mark of Sellersville, PA, Diane Ferrari, her husband John of Sarasota, FL, David Holland, his wife Jeannette of Plainville, MA, and Matthew Holland, his wife Alicia of Bradenton, FL. As well as Ava Martin and her husband Michael of Walpole and Michael Noe also of Walpole.
Cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren; Brian, James, Maura Liddy, Daniel & Matthew Pasquale, Jack Jeffrey, & Julia Ferrari, David & Courtney Holland, Catherine, Nicole & Joseph Martin and Dante Noe DelPico.
He was the brother of the late Lt John A Holland and Sgt James H. Holland. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Boston, the son of the late David and Henrietta (Macleod) Holland, Dave grew up in Dedham and graduated from Dedham High School in 1958. He went on to graduate from Boston University and was commissioned in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He served for 28 years retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Upon retirement, Dave continued as a civilian employee for another 20 years with a defense contractor at Hanscom Air Force Base.
Among his many activities, Dave was a devoted member of the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts where he was installed a District Deputy Grand Master. He was also Grand Steward and Past Master of the Rabboni Lodge, Past Master of the Winslow Lewis Lodge and member of the Marine Lodge in Falmouth.
Dave loved spending summers on the Cape, so much so that eventually it became his permanent home. He also spent many winters in Venice, Florida with his family. While living on the Cape, Dave became very active with the "Newcomers", an association to welcome new residents to the Cape.
Visiting hours and funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 19th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St., Norwood. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Norwood immediately following the service.
