David Robert Smith

SMITH, DAVID Robert of Roslindale formerly of Norwood. Peacefully, my Loving Mr. Smith passed away after a difficult battle with kidney cancer on December 16, 2023 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Deborah A. Farrell-Smith. Loving brother of Frederick Smith and his wife Louisa of AZ, Sandra Smith of East Dennis, Joe Smith and his wife Michele of Foxboro, Thomas Smith of Mansfield and the late Peter Smith and John Smith Jr. Son of the late John and Mary (Prebis) Smith. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Great uncle of his Special Girl Briana Campbell. Her laughter, craziness and love brought much sunshine and happiness to his life. David was a 1971 graduate of Norwood High School. He was a longtime member of the Norwood Elks as well as bartender there for 50 years. David loved being with family and friends and cruising was one of his favorite things in life. The family would like to thank all family and friends for their support over the past few months prior to David's passing. Also they would like to thank the entire staff at Dana Farber who assisted the family with their hard work and support. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
