DIANNE M. LANG, age 67, a lifelong resident of Norwood, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Dianne was the devoted and loving wife of Steven G. Lang of Norwood, with whom she shared 41wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Norwood, Dianne was one of four children of the late Paul and Margaret (Foley) Eckhardt. She was raised in Norwood and was a proud graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1977.

In addition to her husband, Dianne is survived by her three cherished children: Steven Lang, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Wrentham; Daniel Lang of Norwood; and Kaitlyn Werlich and her husband Michael of Walpole. She will be deeply missed by her three adored granddaughters, Kennedy and Madison Lang and Penelope Werlich.

She is also survived by her loving siblings: Jaynellen Walsh and her husband John of Walpole; Stephen Eckhardt and his wife Karen of Norwood; and Kevin Eckhardt and his wife Carolyn of Norwood; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Dianne worked for many years at the Dr. Philip O. Coakley Middle School, where she became a warm, friendly, and familiar presence to students, parents, and colleagues alike.

In her spare time, Dianne enjoyed family getaways, especially to Scituate and cherished the time spent with her beloved family and the countless memories they created together, especially with her three granddaughters, who were the shining light of her life.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. from 4:00–7:00 PM, at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood.

Dianne's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Please go directly to the church; there will be no procession from the funeral home.

Dianne will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
