Dolores Emily Ciaccia, 67, of Walpole, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on November 23, 1958, Dolores was known by many names throughout her life: Del, Lore, Dee, Mrs. Pic, Auntie, Nonnie Dolores, Emma, Grandma, and Mom.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Piccirilli; her sons, Nicholas and Joseph and his wife, Patricia; her grandchildren, Cameron, Eleanor, and Theodore; her sisters, Janice, Roberta, Donna, Andrea, and Carolyn; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Anna (Tobin) Ciaccia.

Dolores had a way of becoming part of the fabric of the places and communities she belonged to. She formed friendships that lasted for decades and left an impression on coworkers, friends, neighbors, and especially the many young people who came through her life. The number of people who reached out or came to see her in her final days showed how many lives she touched.

She worked multiple jobs for the majority of her life, including many years at Mass General Brigham in Foxboro and Gillette Stadium.

Dolores faced her illness with incredible bravery and strength. Even through treatments, hospital stays, and difficult days, she always remained positive and treated everyone around her with remarkable kindness.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her friendships, her humor, and the unmistakable presence she brought into the lives of the people around her. Her absence leaves an enormous space and she will be missed dearly by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, and 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 9 at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood, followed by burial at Highland Cemetery.
