Domenic J. Giampa, 99, a lifelong resident of Norwood, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Michenzi) Giampa.

Born in Norwood, Domenic was one of six children of the late Joseph and Ann (Denisi) Giampa. He was raised and educated in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School. Following graduation, Domenic proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served during the Korean War Era. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class.

Domenic is survived by his devoted children: Daniel Giampa; Annmarie Flaherty and her husband, Jim; David Giampa and his wife, Dalia; and Lisa Vitale and her husband, Steve. He was the proud grandfather of Nicole and her husband Josh, Jimmy, Michael, Davidino, Daniella, Anthony, and Gianna, and he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Anita Rondinelli and Nancy Astorelli, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Domenic was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Giampa, Tom Giampa, and Ruthann Rigby.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Domenic’s graveside service with U.S. Army Honors on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, Norwood. Those attending are asked to gather at the main entrance, outside the cemetery office, at 10:15 a.m.
