Dorothy "Dottie" M. (Lepage) O'Connell

O'CONNELL, DOROTHY "Dottie" M. (LePage) of Norwood formerly of Jamaica Plain passed away on October 12, 2023 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Andrew "Rusty" J. O'Connell Jr. Devoted mother of Jill O. DeCarteret and her husband Ken of Plainville. Sister of the late Lorraine Stella. Cherished grandmother of Ty DeCarteret. Aunt of David Stella of Orlando, FL, Marlene Bennett of New Smyrna, FL and Mathew Bennett of Tampa, FL. Sister in law of Mary Ann O'Connell of Norwood. Daughter of the late Armand and Harriet H. (Mulholland) LePage. She met Rusty when she was 8. They lived in the same neighborhood in Jamaica Plain They started dating in 1969 when he got out of the Navy and she was working as a Supervisor at the First national bank. This October would have been their 51st anniversary.
Dottie was an exquisite home chef and adored making meatballs for her family. Dottie loved to travel, especially to warm places like St. Thomas for her honeymoon and Aruba for Jill and Ken's wedding. She loved being silly, laughing, singing and dancing with her family, especially her grandson, Ty. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 10am-12noon at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 12noon. Burial will be private.
