Dorothy "Dottie" (Rogers) Brennan

May 2, 1927 — January 31, 2022

Dorothy "Dottie" Brennan passed away January 31st, 2022, in Stuart, FL at the age of 94. She was born on May 2nd, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Ethel Rogers of Hyde Park, Boston. She graduated from Hyde Park High and went on to study accounting at secretarial school. During WWII she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Boston Fish Co on Atlantic Ave, Boston. She married her beloved husband of 55 years, John Walter Brennan, in 1950 and moved to Norwood, MA to raise their family. A woman pioneer in IT, she worked with computers from the early 1970s through to retirement. In her later years she moved to Stuart, FL.

Her door was always open, and guests were always made to feel welcome with her quick smile, fun nature and gift of the gab. She loved her neighbors, their kids, Dennisport, Cape Cod and her Wampatuck CC golf girlfriends Kay McElaney, Mary Breen & Barbara Flanagan, and cherished the many family vacations on the cape with the Orlando family. She absolutely loved playing cards, penny ante, especially with the kids.

Years after Walter's passing, she remarried at age 86 to Otto Cink of Stuart, FL. Before Otto's passing, they enjoyed many years together dancing at the local VFW, riding on Otto's motorcycle and "doing the FL Keys ride" with the local seniors' biker group. She had a true zest for life, always encouraging people to live life to the fullest.

She is survived by her children Jeanne, Jack, Rob, and Bill, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren all of whom she loved dearly. A celebration mass is scheduled for Sunday June 26th at 9am at St. Catherine's, Norwood followed by a reception at Mick Morgan's Restaurant, 973 Providence Hwy, Sharon, MA 02067.
