KEENE, Dylan Benjamin
In Loving Memory of Dylan Benjamin Keene
It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Dylan Benjamin Keene of Dover, on December 28, 2024, at the age of 38.
Dylan was the beloved firstborn child of Robert B. Keene of Dover and the late Kathleen Ann (Cronin) Keene. He was the cherished older brother of Nicala, Douglas, Maeve, Martin, and Derek Keene, all of Dover.
Dylan is dearly remembered by his many cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Helen Cronin and the late Edward Cronin & Benji Keene and the late Diane Keene.
Dylan faced complex medical conditions throughout his life, which presented significant challenges. Despite these struggles, he approached life with remarkable courage, strength, and a radiant smile. His spirit touched everyone who knew him, and he especially found joy in the voices, sounds, and affectionate touch of his loving family.
Dylan had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace and happiness being surrounded by his extensive family, especially at home and on Lake Winnipesaukee. Music, bird calls, the sounds of nature, and the voices and songs of the Keene family brought him comfort and laughter. Spending every single holiday at home and family trips to Disney World and Naples, Florida, where he and his family visited their grandparents, were highlights of his life.
Throughout every challenge, Dylan taught us the true meaning of resilience, unconditional love, and finding beauty and gratitude in life’s simplest moments.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate doctors and caregivers at Seven Hills Pediatric Center in Groton, MA, and the dedicated staff at Boston Children’s Hospital for their unwavering care and support over the years.
A Funeral Mass to honor Dylan’s extraordinary life will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12 noon at Most Precious Blood Church, 30 Centre St., Dover, MA. Immediately following the Mass, the family invites all to a celebration of Dylan’s life at the George B. Preston American Legion Post 209, 32 Dedham Street, Dover, MA. At the family’s request, burial will be private. Dylan’s legacy of love and light will forever shine in our hearts.
