Edna M. (Sudlows) Onishuk, of Norwood, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH. She was 87.
Edna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank R. Onishuk, her loving daughters Elizabeth B. Onishuk of Cambridge and Kathryn P. Husgen and her husband Eric of Marblehead.
Edna was raised and educated in Norwood. She attended St. Catherine School and graduated from Norwood High School. As a young woman she enjoyed bowling, traveling, and was a member of the Pole Cats Ski Club. She married and moved to Walpole to raise her family where she resided until 2003 when she and Frank retired to Wolfeboro, NH.
Edna worked in the medical field for many years. She was an employee at the Norwood Hospital, working in the admitting office and served many local doctors as a medical administrator.
After retiring to Wolfeboro, NH, Edna and Frank enjoyed exploring Northern New Hampshire and vacationing along the Maine Coast. Edna’s love of fresh produce brought her to the Wolfeboro farmer’s market each week so that she could prepare beautiful meals for her family and friends. Edna had a fondness for farm animals. She was a frequent visitor to Live & Let Live Farm in Chichester, NH and Tiz A Miniature Horse Farm in Barnstead, NH.
