McCARTHY, EDWARD Dennis of Vero Beach, Florida formerly of Norwood passed away on Dec. 12, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Anne Catherine (McLaughlin) McCarthy. Devoted father of Paul B. McCarthy and his wife Mary of Waltham, Susan J. Capurso and her husband John of Naples, FL and Jane M. O'Donnell and her husband John "Jack" of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Carolyn, Jack, Molly,  Michael, Katie and Patrick. Son of the late John F. and Nora (Ahearn) McCarthy. Brother of Sr. M. Dionetta, CSJ of Brighton, Mary R. Gagnon of Glastonbury, Ct., the late Elizabeth Maleiko and the late John McCarthy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA, Monday Dec. 19, 2016 at 8am followed by a funeral mass at 9am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday Dec. 18, 2016 from 2-5pm. A graveside service will take place on Monday Dec. 19, 2016 1pm at the Mass. National Cemetery Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, Office of Mission Advancement, 637 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA 02135  or a charity of your choice. US Navy Korean War Veteran.
