Edward "Eddie" P. Oginski

Edmund P. "Eddie" Oginski, of Norwood, passed away on October 23, 2023. He was 85 years old.


Eddie was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a lifetime member of the Norwood Elks Lodge #1124. An Avid fan of all Boston sports teams, Eddie enjoyed playing Keno and eating at many local restaurants. Some of his favorites included Bamboo, Sofia Italian Steakhouse, and the Lafayette House on special occasions. Above all else, Eddie was happiest spending time with his grandson, Paul, and attending his various activities and sporting events.


Eddie was the Dear and devoted husband of the late Patricia A. (McDonnell). Loving father of Michael E. Oginski and his longtime companion Lee Anne Otolo, Mark S. Oginski and Patricia M. Oginski, all of Norwood. Cherished "Papa" of Paul E. Oginski. Longtime companion of Mary Coughlin. Dear Brother of Dorothy Young and her husband Joseph of Norwood, Roger Oginski and his wife Anne of Walpole, Michael Oginski and his partner Frank Valdez of Westwood, and the late Jan Oginski. Brother-in-law of Janet Oginski of Norwood. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.


Eddie's Funeral will be from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. NORWOOD, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 10 a.m. His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church at 11 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Eddie will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
