Elizabeth Anne (Foppes) Win

On January 11th, 2023, Elizabeth A. Win succumbed to natural causes. She was the daughter of Anne (Ramish) Foppes and Stuart Foppes. She was born in Syracuse, New York and died shortly before her 88th birthday. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Khin Maung Win, who was born in Burma (Myanmar). She is survived by her sons, John S. Win and Peter S. Win, and her beloved dog, Stubby. She is also survived by many cousins and good friends. Elizabeth loved reading, collected cookbooks and had a lovely collection of children's books. Elizabeth also loved teaching and taught public school for over 50 years. Her favorite things to do were cook and bake and share with friends and neighbors. Elizabeth wishes to thank two favorite principals, Andrew Ciarletta and John Condlin, for her time spent at the Balch Elementary School, as well as the lovely staff who were so helpful. Memorial services will not be held at this time. Per Elizabeth's requests, a future luncheon will be held in early Spring 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MSPCA in her honor.
