Emily M. (Scampini) Malacaria

Emily M. (Scampini) Malacaria, of Norwood passed away on March 19, 2023. She was 94 years old.


Emily was a life-long resident of Norwood and a member of Norwood Senior High School's class of 1946. She was very active in the Son's of Italy Lodge in Norwood and was happiest surrounded by her loving family.


Emily was the dear and devoted wife of the late Andrew J. Malacaria. Loving mother of Andrew J. Malacaria Jr. and his wife Patti Lou of Walpole, Nancy Malacaria of Canton, Ohio, Carol Paschal and her husband Stephen of Norfolk and Mary Jane Holmes and her husband Brian of Rangeley, Maine. Loving grandmother of Maura, Nicole. Stephen, Harrison and the late Andrew. Cherished great-grandmother of Brayden and Connor. Loving daughter of the late Charles and Carolina (Scampini) and dear sister of the late Mario Scampini and Albert Scampini. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.


Emily's Funeral will be from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Emily will be laid to rest with her beloved Andrew at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
