Ethel M. (Mcdonough) Donovan

DONOVAN, ETHEL M. (McDonough) of Norwood passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 3, 2022 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of John Francis Donovan Jr. Devoted mother of John F. Donovan III and his wife Janet of Norwood, Maureen D. McDonough and her husband Kevin of Norwood, Michael G. Donovan and his wife Cathleen of Kingston, Brian J. Donovan of Marshfield and Steven J. Donovan and his wife Karin of AZ. Sister of Alice Benkley and her husband Fred of Lexington, James Mahoney of Norwood, Mary Newman of Norton, Janice Mahoney of Westwood and Karen Sullivan of Foxboro and the late Robert McDonough. Daughter of the late John Joseph and Ethel V. (Johnson) McDonough. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ethel was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking. She was well known for her amazing cooking. Ethel had a devout love for her husband, children and grandchildren and was extremely hospitable to all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 10am-11am at St. Timothy Parish 650 Nichols St. Norwood, followed by a funeral mass at 11am. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
