George Keches

George Keches, of Canton, formerly of Quincy and Norwood, passed away on September 5, 2023. He was 97 years old.
Born in New Bedford, George was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and received a Bronze Star for his service to his country in the Korean War. Following the war, he worked for many years as a CPA. He was an avid sports fan, especially his beloved Red Sox and Patriots. George served on several different parish counsels. Above all else, George was happiest surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
George was the dear and devoted husband of the late Catherine (Constas). Loving father of George Keches and his wife Cheri of Weston, Stephen Keches and his wife Marjorie of Walpole and Corinne Katinas and her husband Rev. James of Walpole. Cherished "Papou" of 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Basil, Leon and Mary Keches. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday September 7, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. NORWOOD. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in George's memory may be made to St. George Orthodox Church, 6 Atwood Ave. Norwood, MA 02062.
George will be laid to rest with his beloved Catherine at Highland Cemetery following a private Funeral Service.
