Gerard "Jerry" J. Bonvouloir

BONVOULOIR, GERARD J. "Jerry" of Norwood died peacefully at home in July 2, 2017 surrounded by his family at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Margaret "Peg" (Keating) Bonvouloir.  He was born in Holyoke, MA in 1925 to Rhea (Laliberte) and Lionel Bonvouloir. Predeceased by his brother, Pierre Bonvouloir and sisters, Margot Bonvouloir and Lucille Pasler. In 1942, he served in the US Army in the South Pacific during WWII earning 2 Bronze Stars, and later as a reservist, was called up during the Korean War. Upon return he earned a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University in Boston. Devoted father of Amy Gallagher of Norwood, James Bonvouloir and his wife Cecile of Litchfield, NH, Mark Bonvouloir of Medway, John Bonvouloir and his wife Christina of Needham and Kenneth Bonvouloir and his wife Ronda of Sheffield, VT. Affectionately known as "Pie" by his grandchildren: Corey Gallagher, Amanda Gallagher, Peter Gallagher, Matthew Bonvouloir, Joseph Bonvouloir, Elizabeth Bonvouloir, Alec Bonvouloir, Seth Bonvouloir and Layne Bonvouloir. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Thursday July 6, 2017 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2017 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Rock Ridge Cemetery Sharon, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St. W. Bridgewater, MA 02379 or to a charity of your choice. US Army WWII Veteran and USAF Korean War Veteran.
