Gerardo Frangiosa, age 89, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home in Norwood.

Born in Casalduni, Italy, Gerardo was one of three children born to the late Lorenzo and Agata (Defilippo) Frangiosa. He spent his formative years in Italy, before immigrating with his family to the United States, settling in Norwood. Gerry was a graduate of Norwood High School.

A hardworking man, with a meticulous eye for detail, Gerry was a proud and respected business owner, working in the field of masonry. He was the owner and operator of Michaelangelo Tile in Norwood, where he provided the utmost service and care to his clients, always ensuring a job well done.

In his spare time, Gerry enjoyed making and tasting his own wine for him and family to enjoy. He liked to go hunting, where he would spend time relishing the tranquility that nature provides. Above all, he cherished the time spent and memories made with his dear friends and family.

Gerardo is survived by his cherished siblings: Carmela Ross of Las Vegas, NV and Victorio Frangiosa of Boise, ID; his nephew: Mark Ross of Las Vegas, NV; and his devoted nieces: Michelle Frangiosa, Hilary Frangiosa, Maddalena Boccabella, Aggie Curcuruto, and Lina Boccabella.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 10:30a.m. in Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, Norwood.
