Obituary

Gino Pius Marrinucci, 99, of Walpole, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, just shy of his 100th birthday.

Born and raised in Walpole on October 14, 1926, Gino lived a life defined by service, devotion to family, hard work, and quiet kindness. At just 17 years old, he entered the United States Navy during World War II, beginning a distinguished 22-year military career. Rising to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, he served aboard seven ships, earning the respect of those who served beside him through his leadership, discipline, and unwavering dedication.

Gino married the love of his life, Adina Paci, marking the beginning of a beautiful family legacy and the fulfillment of a dream he carried deeply in his heart: to build a close-knit family whose love and values would endure across generations. Together, they raised six children, instilling

in them the values of honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and the importance of family — values that guided Gino throughout his life.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Gino worked for 25 years as an Office Manager for the Cole-Hersee Company, commuting daily into South Boston with the same steadfast commitment he brought to every aspect of his life.

Outside of work, Gino found joy in life’s simple pleasures: playing bocce, gathering with loved ones, and preserving family memories through countless photo albums filled with holidays, celebrations, and everyday moments. Through those albums, one can see a life richly centered on love, laughter, togetherness, and celebration.

Gino is survived by his six children: Robert Marrinucci and his partner Audrey, Gina Marrinucci, John Marrinucci and his partner Carla, Dominic Marrinucci, Nancy Marrinucci and her partner Randy, and Julie Marrinucci; his grandchildren: Dena Marrinucci and her husband Shane,

Andrew Marrinucci and his wife Alison, Jena Beal and her husband Barry, and Bianca Marrinucci; eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Anna Fleet; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his generosity, wisdom, and care.

A wake will be held Friday, May 29, 4-6 pm, at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole, MA.

Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will take place later this year.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Day Flower Fund for Arlington National Cemetery through memorialdayflowers.org.
