Gloria Beatrice (Pennington) Head

Gloria B. Head, 90, of Clermont, Florida, formerly of Plainville, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at her home on October 19, 2022 Gloria was born on Feb 3, 1932 in Norwood, Massachusetts to Richard P. and Vera B. Pennington She graduated from Norwood High/Henry O. Peabody School in 1949. She worked at Rust Craft Greeting Cards in Dedham for 30 years and Sears Collection Department in Dedham for 9 years. Gloria was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church in Norwood, Massachusetts for many years. Gloria spent many hours with her friends from the Plainville Senior Center. They had many memorable day trips, but Gloria's favorite was her visits to Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, NH.
Gloria spent most of her adult life researching her family's genealogy. In her later years at Orchard Heights Retirement Community in Florida she spent her free hours singing in the choir, painting and coloring, community horse races, playing bingo, Rummikub and going to her favorite store, The Dollar Tree. Gloria was predeceased by her parents and son, Richard Head. Surviving members of her family include her sister, Linda Conrad her husband Allan and their children of Winter Garden, FL who were her Florida family for the last 8 years. She leaves a grandson, Christopher Head and 3 great grandchildren, Morgan, Kristin and Colin. Gloria also leaves behind many cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 9-11am at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 11am followed by a burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA. She will be missed by her many friends at the Plainville, Massachusetts Senior Center and Orchard Heights Retirement Community in Clermont, Florida.
