Gloria Louise (Sylvester) Grasso

GRASSO, Gloria Louise (Sylvester), 80, died on January 28 in Norwood after a long illness. She was married to the late William (Billy) Grasso for 40 years. Gloria was born and raised in Norwood, the fourth child of the late Forest and Esther (Olsen) Sylvester. She was the beloved mother of John W. Cherry and his wife Tracy of Mashpee, Laura J. (Grasso) Jones, Kevin and his wife Christine and Anita L. (Grasso) DeYesso all of Norwood. She was the cherished sister to Ronald K. Sylvester of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her children Wayne F. Cherry, Doreen J. Grasso, William R. Grasso along with her sisters, Elaine E. Hayes of Norwood and Thelma S. Ross of Ohio. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many devoted nieces and nephews. Gloria was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norwood for many years. At the request of the family all services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
