Harriet I (Greenlaw) Hayes

Hayes, Harriet Irene (Greenlaw) a lifelong resident of Norwood, passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Dennis J. Hayes. Devoted mother of Susan M. DiFlaminies and her husband Steven of Mansfield, Dennis E. Hayes and his wife Anne C. of Norfolk, and David T. Hayes and his wife Dianne M. of Norwood. Sister of Maryann Cunningham of Norwood and Harry Greenlaw and his wife Ann of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Corey, Jonathan, Taylor, Olivia, Abby, Sammy, Nichole and David. Great grandmother of Avery, Timothy and Samuel. Daughter of the late Harry and Anne (O'Malley) Greenlaw. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Harriet was a 1955 graduate of Norwood High School. She dedicated her life to motherhood and was the foundation of her family. She always knew the right thing to say and her home was always filled with warmth and kindness. She took great pride in her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. She rarely missed one of her grandchildren's sporting events. Though Harriet's health was failing, her joy for life and spirit kept her pushing through the pain. We will miss her dearly. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Thursday January 20, 2022 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Mass can be viewed live at www.Stcatherinenorwood.org . Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 4-7pm. Due to the rise in Covid-19 cases the family asks if you attend the wake and funeral that you wear a mask. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood, MA.
