Henry J. Pritchard Jr.

PRITCHARD, HENRY J. (Suede Cartel) of Walpole, formerly of Norwood, passed away at the age of 90 surrounded by his loved ones in his family home. He was born in Boston on April 11, 1933 to Henry Sr. and Elsie (Reed) Pritchard. Hank grew up in Roslindale and in 1950 graduated from Commerce High School. After graduating, he joined MIT as a mail and messenger boy before joining the Air Force in 1952. Soon after, he was deployed to Korea and at the age of 20 and became a shift chief at the jet fighter base, k55. After his service in the Air Force, he went back to work at MIT while attending night school at Northeastern University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1965. His work eventually moved down the road to Biogen before retiring in the year 1998. He met his love, Elizabeth Anne Camelio in 1955 and the two married in 1960, raising three wonderful children together in the home they built in Norwood. Hank was the loving husband to the late Elizabeth (Camelio) Pritchard. Devoted father of Adria L. Pritchard of North Conway, NH, Scott E. Pritchard and his wife Kerri of Norwood and the late Patricia Schulz and her husband James of Antigo, WI.. Cherished grandfather of Nathan, Josiah, Sarah, Katherine and Reegan. Great grandfather of Meredith and Frederick. Brother of Jack Pritchard and the late Ruth Pritchard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Hank will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and slick dance moves, but more importantly for the generosity, love and appreciation he had for his loved ones. Private burial will be held at a later date as well as a Celebration of Life.
