Rybicki, Irena Z. (Bierman) of Norwood peacefully passed away on October 5, 2024 at the age of 86.
Originally from a small village (Damiety) in Poland , Irena survived the Holocaust and with her family came to the United States in 1950.
After becoming a Naturalized US citizen, she graduated from Cathedral High School. She worked in the family restaurant and became a hairdresser. She and her husband owned Auto-Fix in Milford. She was a talented artist and a designer of gowns.
She was married for 38 years to the love of her life, Zbigniew, who predeceased her in 2011.
She was an active member at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Norwood and was a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed bible study classes and was devoted to Our Lady and Padre Pio.
She leaves behind a sister, Danuta Windhorst (Robert) of Miramar Beach, Fl and a brother Eric Bierman (Elaine) of Escondido, Ca.
She was the loved stepmother to Barbara Rybicka- Butkiewicz (Maciek) of Norton and the dear grandmother of Lukasz Wasiak (Janice) as well as great grandmother to Cara, Lilliana, Roman and Isla.
Cherished by her nieces, Christina (Reggie), Stefanie (Paul), Genevieve (Ricky) and nephew Gary (Anna). Irena was a Great Aunt to Jeremy (Michelle) and Nathan (Bella) as well as Johann and Theodora, and a Great Great Aunt to Vivienne.
She is also survived by many loving and dear friends.

Visitation at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St Norwood on Wednesday October 23rd from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A morning service on October 24th at the funeral home from 11:00am-11:30am followed by a burial at New Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale.
