John J. “Jack” Muller, age 68, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away at his residence, surrounded by the love, comfort and care of his devoted family on the morning of Friday, November 28, 2025, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was the caring and loving husband for 42 wonderful years to Maria (Lodi) Muller.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his proud and cherished sons: John Muller and his wife Allison, and Eric Muller and his partner Victoria Pae; his granddaughters: Lillian “Ellie” and Hailey Muller; his siblings: Karen Durant and her fiancé Russell Demeulenaere, Paula Durant her husband Robert, Robert Muller and his wife Nayda, Nancy French and her husband John, Joseph Muller and his wife Ellen, and Kristin Colangelo and her husband Paul; and also many loving nieces and nephews.
Born in Boston, Jack was one of seven children born to the late Francis X. and Ann M. (Thompson) Muller. Raised in Roslindale, a graduate of Mission High School, Jack furthered his education at Suffolk University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
A hardworking man, Jack worked as an accountant for various companies throughout eastern Massachusetts.
In retirement, Jack had a wide array of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed bowling with his friends from the Dedham Retired Men’s Club, playing bocce at the Norwood Senior Center, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and trail hiking with his wife, Maria. Jack especially enjoyed traveling, taking trips with Maria to Tuscany, Sicily, the National Parks, San Diego, Washington, D.C., Vermont & his favorite place, Maine. Jack was an avid Boston sports fan, following the ups and downs of his favorite team, the Boston Bruins. Above all, he was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his treasured family, especially his granddaughters, and his beloved dog, Benny.
Jack’s family would like to graciously thank and recognize his care team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and his comfort team from VNA Hospice Care for their support and kindness to Jack and his family over the duration of his illness.
Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend visitation on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA.
Funeral services will commence on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Timothy Catholic Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood, MA. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Washington Street, Walpole, MA.
