James C. Balerna

James C. Balerna, of Canton, formerly of Norwood, passed away on May 26, 2021. He was 58 years old.

Born in Boston, Jim was a 1980 graduate of Norwood High School. He worked for many years for Central Motors and as a landscaper on weekends. An avid fan of all sports, from pros to little league, he especially loved his Boston sports teams, with the Bruins and hockey at the top of the list. Above all else, Jim was happiest surrounded by his family and friends, a close group of pals since high school, and especially his children and grandchildren.

Jim was the dear and devoted husband of Mary (Riolo) Balerna. Loving father of Jennifer Boutilier and her husband James Taylor of Canton, and Derek Boutilier of Canton. Cherished grandfather, "Papa," of Haley and Matthew Taylor, and Abby Boutilier. Loving son of John Balerna of Longboat Key, Florida and the late Patricia (McLaughlin) Balerna. Dear brother of Patricia Balerna and her significant other, Douglas Thompson, Paula Riley and her husband James Kennedy of Bradenton, Florida, Mark Balerna and his wife Kathy of Norwood, and John Balerna of Halifax. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St. NORWOOD. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
