James F. Barnes Jr.

BARNES, JAMES F Jr. of Norwood passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 84. Devoted father of Lisa Bowen and her husband Greg of Crystal Lake, IL and Vickie Damato and her husband Paul of Prescott Valley, AZ. Cherished grandfather of Vincent Damato, Natalya Damato, Megan Bowen, Erin Bowen and Wyatt McNair. Uncle of Matthew McNair of Norwood and Melissa McDonough of Plainville. Brother of the late Diane McNair. Son of the Late James F. and Veronica (Simelevich) Barnes. Jim was a former member of the Norwood VFW and Norwood Sportsman Club. His favorite pastime was fishing, and he loved sharing that hobby with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking - particularly his famous spaghetti sauce that his family always looked forward to. Jim was a US Air Force Veteran serving from 1958-1962. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 11am-1pm at the Kraw Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A funeral home service will be held on Monday at 1pm followed by a burial with USAF Military Honors at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
