James "Gig" F. Creighton Jr. (Retired Bfd)

CREIGHTON, JAMES F. Jr. "Gig" (Retired Boston Fire Fighter) of Norwood formerly of Roslindale and Mission Hill passed away on December 7, 2022 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Ann M. (Scalfani) Creighton. Devoted father of James F. Creighton III and his wife Diane of Ashland, Randy A. Creighton of Norwood, Paul M. Creighton and his wife Sharon of Mansfield and Diane M. Holmes and her companion Jerry Dirado of Attleboro. Brother of Rosemary "Snookie" Thomson of Milford and the late Charlie, Eugene and Louis Creighton. Cherished grandfather of Courtney Creighton, Jessi Holmes, Jake Holmes and Rachel Creighton. Son of the late James F. and Rose (Pedrotti) Creighton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gig was a Retired Boston Firefighter and was a former member of the Boston Fire Dept. Honor Guard. He was also a WWII US Navy Veteran. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 9am-11am at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022 at 11am followed by burial with US Navy Military Honors at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA.
