James "Jimmy" Joseph Flaherty

FLAHERTY, JAMES Joseph "Jimmy" Retired Norwood Firefighter, of East Walpole formerly of Norwood passed away on May 22, 2023 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Lynne H. (Lovell) Flaherty. Devoted and loving father of Kelly M. Gifford and her husband Chris of East Walpole. Brother of Nancy MacAuley of S. Walpole, Robert J. Flaherty of Norwood, Richard P. Flaherty of Plymouth and Janice Lazzaro of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Keira MacKinnon and Lily Gifford. Son of the late James E. and Grace E. (Walver) Flaherty. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Boston Sparks Association and the Brockton Fire Museum. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3-8pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11am followed by a burial at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to a Fire Association or Fire Charity of your choice.
