James "Jim" P. Scanlon

SCANLON, JAMES P. of Norwood passed away on May 10, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved and Devoted son of the late Patrick J. and Mary M. (Donahue) Scanlon. Loving brother of Sally S. Buttinger and her husband Richard of Norwood and the late Sister Mary Scanlon, CSJ and Sister Barbara Scanlon, CSJ. James was a graduate of Cathedral High School and then went on to graduate from Bentley College and Boston State College. James was a lifelong resident of Norwood and enjoyed reading, traveling and the Boston Red Sox. The family would like to thank the staff at the Mary Morse Healthcare Center in Natick, MA and Brookhaven Hospice for the love and care they gave to Jim. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 3-7pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington Street, Norwood, MA. Funeral from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood, MA. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Catherine of Siena Church 547 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062.
