MATTHEWS, JANET Florence (Powers) of Norwood passed away on December 15, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth V. Matthews. Devoted mother of Kim D. Carlson of Norwood, Brian J. Matthews and his fiancée Joyce Hibbard of Norwood, David K. Matthews and his wife Nancy A. of Norwood, Jill K. Trundley and her fiancée Robert Belliveau of Norwood, Andrew J. Markowski of Stoughton and the late Robin A. Davis. Cherished grandmother of Frank P. Carlson, Paul M. Carlson and Jason A. Davis. Great grandmother of A'Marie, Frank III, Kim, Riley, Jacob, and Cooper. Sister of Gale Bradbury and her husband Ted of CT and the late Barbara Pitts. Daughter of the late James and Erma W. (Hicks) Powers. A funeral mass will be held on Monday December 19, 2016 at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Church 547 Washington St. Norwood, MA 02062. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery Norwood. At the request of the family visiting hours will be omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Assoc. 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472.
