Janice C. (Casavant) O'Neil

O'NEIL, Janice C. (Casavant) of Norwood passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on November 12, 2022 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Sgt Walter E. O'Neil of the Boston Police Department. Daughter of the late Grace Casavant of Roslindale and Clarence Casavant of Hyde Park. Devoted mother of Walter E. O'Neil and his wife Marie of Falmouth, Daniel J. O'Neil and wife Karen of Quincy, the late Stephen M. O'Neil and Karen P. Butters and her late husband David J. Butters of Norwood. Sister of the late Robert Casavant of Wrentham MA and June Ryder of California. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Janice was proudly employed as a traffic supervisor for the Boston Police Department for many years and took the upmost pride in everything she did. She took the most pride in her home, maintaining her beautiful gardens, displaying incredible holiday decorations and having the most pristine landscape. At the request of the family all services and burial will be private.
