VITO, JASON CHRISTOPHER age 38 of Norwood. It is with great sadness his family announces Jason's sudden passing on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was the loving father of Jaxson King Vito (4 ½ yrs. old) of Weymouth, son of Barbara Gillis of Norwood and Joseph Vito of Wrentham. Jason was the youngest of nine children, leaving behind his 8 siblings, Joseph Vito and his fiancé Tracey, Darla Leighton and her husband, John, Gina Vito, Jeffrey Vito and his wife Laura, Darren Vito and his wife Lori, Marisa Vito, Matthew Vito, Andrea Capodanno and her husband John, and he was an uncle to 15 nieces and nephews. Jason was born and raised in Norwood and attended Norwood High School. He adored his son Jaxson, who was the joy of his life. Loved taking him on daytrips with Jaxson's mother, Kathryn King, who we all loved and appreciated. He loved the outdoors and campfires. He enjoyed vacationing with his family including Hawaii, Florida, California and Las Vegas. Jason put a smile on the face of everyone he met. Unfortunately, he lost his battle to drug addiction after many years in recovery programs and will be greatly missed. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 22 from 6-8pm at Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St. Norwood. A Funeral Mass will be held 1pm on Monday April 23, 2018 at St. Mary's Church 176 Washington St E. Walpole, MA. At the request of the family burial will be private. Relatives and friends are most kindly welcome to attend a reception celebrating Jason's life to follow the Funeral Mass at Norwood Elks, 152 Winslow Ave. Norwood, MA. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice, preferably one in drug education.
