POCE, JEAN Anne (Charron) a lifelong resident of Norwood passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on November 5, 2021 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late John A. Poce. Devoted mother of Anne Watson and her husband Glen of Norwood, Mary Alice Scanlan and her husband David of FL, Andrew Poce and his wife Kim of E. Bridgewater and Carol Lestan and her husband Paul of Cohasset. Loving sister of Margaret Meyer of Middleboro, Paul Charron of Walpole, Alice DeAbreu of Halifax and the late Louise Conton of Norwood . Cherished Nana to Amy and Matthew Watson, Megan and Ryan Scanlan, Johnny and Scotty Poce, and Curtis and Ronny Lestan, great grandmother, "GiGi," to Wyatt and Colton Watson, Julianna Poce, and Melanie Scanlan, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jean graduated Norwood High School in 1950, where she and Johnny Poce were sweethearts. Jean went to Emmanuel College and graduated in 1954. They married in 1957 and eventually settled in Norwood. Jean taught every grade K thru post graduate level except for sophomores. She loved teaching and was a favorite to many Norwood students. Jean also belonged to Norwood Women's Club, Sodality, Art Club, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She loved to paint and was an avid poet, writing poems for every special occasion. She was a faithful friend to the R.B. Girls, her high school club, and also loved spending time with family and many friends in Norwood, Dennis, and Florida. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 10:30am at St. Timothy's Church 650 Nichols St. Norwood, MA 02062. Family will gather prior to the mass to greet family and friends as they proceed into church. Arrangements by the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, Norwood, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Catholic TV, 34 Chestnut St, P.O. Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471 www.Catholictv.org which she enjoyed daily.
