Jeanne P. Haldane

Jeanne P. Haldane, 78, a lifelong resident of Norwood, MA, entered into eternal rest on January 9, 2026.

Born on August 20, 1947, to George and Marie Haldane, Jeanne’s life was a testament to the beauty of roots and the strength of local ties. After graduating from Newbury College with a degree in accounting, Jeanne built a career defined by more than just numbers. As a longtime Office Manager, she was the "glue" of her workplace, respected for her sharp mind and even more so for her unwavering compassion.

Jeanne was a woman of quiet intellect and great generosity. An avid reader and dog lover, she was also a dedicated pen pal to children worldwide, using the art of letter-writing to bridge distances and share her wisdom with the next generation. Whether enjoying a lunch with friends or walking with her beloved furry companions, Jeanne moved through the world with grace and a caring heart.

Above all, Jeanne was the heartbeat of her family and is survived by her sister, Sheila Barron. She was the devoted aunt of Susan Cox and her husband Sean, and Sean Durden; the proud great-aunt of Schyler Palmer-Therrien and husband Gary, Alyssa Deschamps and husband Jacob, Arianne Cox, and Brian Durden; and the doting great-great-aunt of Jack, Ambrose, and Liliana. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Maggie, who was her constant and faithful shadow.

Jeanne’s Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of her soul will be celebrated on THURSDAY, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood, MA. Please meet directly at church.

Jeanne will be laid to rest with her parents in Highland Cemetery, 320 Winter Street, Norwood.
