Jessie M. (Colageo) Carchedi, of Norwood, passed away on August 31, 2023. She was 98 years old.
Jessie was a longtime member of the Norwood Sodality and the Sons of Italy. Jessie enjoyed going dancing with her beloved Peter; weekend excursions with the dance crowd; winters in Florida; her several trips to Italy; playing cards with friends; bowling; cooking, especially for her family; and her ice cream.
Jessie was the dear and devoted wife of the late Peter E. Carchedi. Loving mother of Anne Hasenfus of Florida and her late husband William, Jean Mosman of Mansfield, Robert Carchedi and his wife Paula of Mansfield, Richard Carchedi and his wife Maura of Foxboro, Michael Carchedi and his wife Patti of Mansfield and the late John Carchedi. Cherished grandmother, "Nana," of Kristen Laviolette and her husband Peter, William Hasenfus Jr., Paul Hasenfus and Stacey, Richard Carchedi Jr. And his wife Colleen, Jenna Carchedi, Amanda Bradley and her husband Daniel, Robert Carchedi, Brian Carchedi, Michael Carchedi, and Jaclyn Carchedi. Great-grandmother of Peter, Jack, Elisabeth, Isabella, Gulianna, William, Cameron, Collin, Grace, John, Thomas, and James. Dear sister of the late Jennie Anusewicz, Ernest Colageo, Pio Colageo, and Louis Colageo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Jessie's Funeral will be from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. NORWOOD, Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday September 5, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jessie's memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute 44 Binney St. Boston, MA 02115.
Jessie will be laid to rest with her beloved Peter at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
