Jo Ann Mcdonough

Jo Ann McDonough of Norwood, passed away on February 26, 2024 following a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. She was 50 years old.


Born in Norwood, Jo moved to Ireland when she was 2 years old and lived there through high school. She returned to the US and attended a year of college before enlisting in the United States Army. She served her country proudly, traveling to Korea and then entering the National Guard to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.


Jo Ann was the loving daughter of Eileen (Butler) McDonough of Norwood and the late John J. McDonough Jr. Dear sister of John J. McDonough III of Norwood, Steven M. McDonough and his wife Johanna of Myrtle Beach, SC, and the late James Patrick McDonough. Cherished Aunt of Hannah. She is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday March 7, 2024, from 10am - 12pm at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood.

Jo will be laid to rest with her father in Ballincollig in County Cork, Ireland.
