Joan L. (Keady) Seariac

SEARIAC, JOAN L. (Keady) of Framingham formerly of Norwood passed away on Nov. 2, 2016 at the age of 82. Devoted mother of Mariann DeAraujo and her husband Antonio of Framingham and Stephen M. Seariac of Framingham. Sister of the late Daniel Keady, Frank Keady, Mary Keady, Katherine Gormley and Nora Dorci. Cherished grandmother of Alessandra, Ana Raquel, Antonio, Amber and Ashley. Also survived by 1 great granddaughter. Daughter of the late Patrick and Anna (Lydon) Keady. Joan graduated from Somerville Hospital and earned her BSN at Framingham State College. She holds a Masters Degree and is a retired nurse from the Framingham School System where she worked for many yrs. Joan first worked as head nurse on maternity and pediatric units at Chelsea Naval Hospital. She was a US Navy Korean War Veteran and was a senior medical officer aboard both a US Sub and US Carrier. Joan also worked as the director of the Walpole VNA. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Monday Nov. 7, 2016 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am in St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday Nov. 6, 2016 from 2-6pm. At the request of the family burial will be private.
